This album was released in 1984 by Pulitzer Prize-winning American minimalist John Adams, who has been active for a long time from the mid-1970s to the 2000s, and has produced many masterpieces in a wide range of styles from modern classical to experimental/electronic. Conducted by Edo De Waart, this is one of his early masterpieces. This is a beautiful piece of gentle minimalism that oscillates between stillness and movement.
