This is the second album released in 1982 by the Jon Eberson Group, led by Norwegian jazz guitarist Jon Eberson, who showcased his remarkable performances in the one-off album 'Blow Up' with Jon Christensen and Hakon Graff. In comparison to their previously introduced first album from the preceding year, highlighted in the guidebook 'obscure sound,' this release significantly increases its pop-rock elements, incorporating reggae, blues, and more. However, akin to their first work, the unique husky vocals by the lone female vocalist, Sidsel Endresen, who has also released solo albums through ECM, are undeniably splendid. It might be a personal preference, but there's something about her voice that really captivates. Highly recommended.
