This is an authorized reissue of the third album released in 1982 by Kabasa, a group from Johannesburg, South Africa, which released three albums in the 1980s. This album was considered to be one of the best kept secrets of South African groove until a few years ago, but it was reissued by BBE in 2019 on a 2-disc set. The group specializes in jazz-rock and crossover/fusion styles with a funky flavor that is unique to South Africa, but it sounds more like US soul/funk like Lamont Dozier or Deodato. This album is in the same vein, but the emotional Afro grooves of A1 and C1 are the best. This is a brand new, opened package.
