This is the (likely) sole release from German jazz-rock group Kanguru, consisting of Peter Weine (g), Anselm Kluge (b), Olav Gustafsson (ds), and Claus-Robert Kruse (p), released in 1981. It features bright crossover jazz like A1, with distinct and solid drumming intertwined with spacey synthesizers and guitars, and sorrowful Latin jazz-funk like B1, driven by groovy Latin rhythms with percussions, wailing guitars, and organs. The album contains lively jazz-rock that conveys the feeling of good-natured guys, likely from a rock background with excellent playing techniques, enjoying themselves. The edgy sound is a nice touch.
