This album, released in 1979, is by the one-off group "Karl Ratzer Group," formed by Austrian guitarist Karl Ratzer, who was a former member of the blues/jazz-rock band Gipsy Love and had also participated in The Players Association's 'Turn The Music Up!' In this group, he teamed up with Dan Wall (keys), Neal Starkey (bass), and Al Nicholson (drums). Ray Mantilla (percussion) also makes a guest appearance. The album explores a range of musical styles, from the explosive fusion of jazz-rock featuring effective electric guitar and cosmic synthesizers to Latin-infused crossover jazz. It's a blend that should appeal to those who enjoy the likes of Weather Report, Jan Hammer Group, and Bill Frisell.
