This is an album of 'Kasai Bayashi' released in 1978 as part of a series of Japanese festival music produced by King Records in Japan since the late 60s. Kasai Bayashi is one of the oldest festival music in Edo (present Tokyo). The rhythm of B1 "Okazaki" has a unique bounce to it. It's a studio recording, but the sound is all very good, an extension of ethnic jazz such as Don Cherry and Codona.
