This masterpiece album, released in 1984 by King Sunny Ade and His African Beats, is a prime example of Nigerian juju music. It was originally released on his own label, Sunny Alade Records I. Limited, and was a fully domestic Nigerian juju work, with recording and mixing done at Afrosdisia Studio in Lagos. While it follows in the footsteps of his iconic albums Juju Music and Synchro System, the introduction of electronics is more pronounced, and the combination of skillfully programmed drum machine beats and talking rhythms is elevated into a vibrant and colorful sound. Each side of the record contains four tracks, but as usual, they are performed continuously, with Side A spanning 17 minutes and 39 seconds and Side B running 18 minutes and 33 seconds. Despite the long duration, it remains captivating throughout.
