Kroton - Acoustic Guitar Jazz
Blaue Sonne
Ornament (Germany) 1979
CH-7.712 (LP)
sleeve : VG+(SRW,Side/corner rubbing)
media : VG+/VG+(Light dust noise due to thin and fine scratches.)

This is the first album released in 1979 by Kroton, the guitar duo of German guitarists Stefan Loschner and Gernot Gingele. From a nostalgic ensemble where the delicate and fluid melodies of acoustic guitars localized on either side of the speakers resonate beautifully, to a track where Manuel Gottsching-like electric guitars and acoustic guitars harmonize beautifully with each other. The lyrical new age guitar sound is reminiscent of ECM groups such as Ralph Towner and Jon Abercrombie, or Marin Kolbe and Ralf Illenberger. There are a lot of great jazz guitarists like this in Germany. (Chee)
