This is a 1985 release, a leader album by Hungarian saxophonist Lajos Dudas from Budapest, featuring German guitarist Toto Blanke as a guest. The quartet, including Ernst Hartmann (keys), Teodossi Stoykov (bass), and Imre Koszegi (drums, percussion), delivers a technically impressive jazz-rock/fusion with a significant level of aggression. The album showcases Toto Blanke's incredible guitar work intertwined with Latin beats reminiscent of Brazil's Robertinho Silva on the high-speed jazz-rock track A3. Despite its initial jazz-funk impression, B1 takes an unexpected turn with Toto Blanke's psychedelic blues guitar and the sticky phrases of synth bass, creating a slow-burning groove that is outstanding.
