An album released in 1967 by American saxophonist Lee Konitz, who was active on the front lines from the early 1950s to the 2000s. The album features Richie Kamuca (ts), Joe Henderson (ts), Marshall Brown (tb), Ray Nance (vl), Karl Berger (vb), Jim Hall (g), Dick Katz (p), Eddie Gomez (b), and Elvin Jones (ds), and consists of free improvisation duos with each of these musicians. Notably, A3 begins with a solo on Konitz's electric alto, followed by duos with drums, vibes, and bass, and concludes with a quartet performance.
