Starting his career in Minneapolis in the mid-1960s, guitarist Leo Kottke debuted in 1969 with the album Twelve String Blues on a minor label and went on to release numerous works on major labels like Tacoma and Capitol. In 1986, he released an album on Private Music, a label founded by Peter Baumann, an original member of Tangerine Dream. This album primarily features solo acoustic guitar performances, with some tracks incorporating cello and synthesizer. It’s a pastoral neo-folk, New Age work that maintains a calm and serene atmosphere throughout.
