The first album released in 1983 by Alvorada, a unit consisting of the minor, little-known guitarist Lori Lorenzen and Ottmar Nagel. This work showcases beautiful, pastoral acoustic guitar music throughout, featuring melodies rich with nostalgia and elements of Spanish guitar, including flamenco. Track B1 is enhanced with double bass, vibraphone, and horn, while marimba joins in on track B2, creating an even richer depiction of landscapes. The album offers a world view akin to Windham Hill's acoustic new age, Ralph Towner's ECM works, and Oregon. Highly recommended.
