Maki Asakawa, a singer-songwriter who started her career in the 60's in the U.S. military camps and cabarets, was discovered by Shuji Terayama and Koji Teramoto in the late 60's, and started performing live at Sasori-za in Shinjuku. This first album was released in 1970. It was recorded live at "Sasori-za". The album contains many great songs such as "Yo ga Aketara”, "Fushiawase to iu Na no Neko", and "Chichana Tokikara”. At this point in her career, she has already established a rare presence, absorbing blues, rock, soul, folk and other forms of American black music and sublimating them into her own unique worldview. This record is reissue in 1975.
