German jazz trumpeter Manfred Schoof, who has left adult and moody works for ECM and Mood Records, released this album on the German library label UBM in 1984. UBM's library series includes a number of crossover jazz/dance pieces that make heavy use of electronics, and this is no exception, as the label's owner, producer Uwe Ketzer, is a member for this project. The intense electronic sound is pushed to the forefront with synthesizers by Schoof and Rainer Bruninghaus. A1 has a fast-moving backing track and a pleasant synthesizer sound that seems to take off into the sky. It also includes adult oriented mood jazz numbers like B2. This is the 1986 release with new artwork.
A1: Power Station
B2: Submarine
