Afternoon of a Georgia Faun

ECM 1004 ST (LP) 2nd. pressing. coated sleeve.
sleeve : EX+(very slightly lifted laminate on some parts.)

This is a leader album by American jazz saxophonist Marion Brown, who was at the forefront of jazz music for a long time from the 1960s to 2000, and left it for ECM in 1970. After a long introduction with the sounds of water and various percussion instruments played like instruments and echoing like the sounds of nature, side A features saxophone and flute playing melodies like birdsong and elephant calls, followed by various scenes that seem to represent the workings of nature with voice improvisation. Side B is more free form free jazz featured female vocals, and off course, it's amazing. This is the original German pressing of the 2nd edition released in the same year as the 1st edition, and was pressed on the same master plate as the 1st edition.
