Romantic Warrior was the first project of Peter Kuhlmann, a producer from Frankfurt, Germany, who has worked on countless projects and was known on the club scene in the 1990s under the name Pete Namlock. The first album was released in 1985. The second album, released the following year, was an experimental electro album, while the third album was a cheesy synth-pop album. On this album, the band uses synthesizers and vocoders to great effect, playing crystal fusion reminiscent of Pat Metheny, krautrock in the vein of Embryo and other artists, and sophisticated crossover/jazz rock with a transparent sound.
