Antilles (US) 1983
AN 1017 (LP)
sleeve : EX-(wear on corner, wrinkle on one corner.)
media : EX-/EX-(some slightly noise caused by some slightly wear.)
This was featured on the first edition of the guidebook "obscure sound". sAn album released in 1982 by Mark Egan, the extraordinary bassist from Massachusetts known for his work with the Pat Metheny Group and collaborations with John Abercrombie, together with Danny Gottlieb, the American drummer who was also an original member of the Pat Metheny Group. The lineup includes Cliford Carter on keyboards and Bill Evans(the saxophonist, not the pianist). The album opens with A1, where the driving beat of the hi-hat and cymbals creates an irresistibly exhilarating sense of speed and freshness, paired with the floating tones of Fender Rhodes and keyboards that you can’t help but get lost in. A3 features a beautifully melodic bass line and warmly expanding synthesizer textures that feel almost too good to be true. From luxurious, organic new-age jazz that offers a blissful sensation—like drifting peacefully on the ocean—to uplifting crossover jazz driven by vibrant percussion, the album delivers one gem after another. This is the 1983 U.S. edition released by Island Records, who acquired the license and issued it with newly designed artwork.
A1: Color Wheel
A3: Electric Fields
B2: Conundrum
