Japanese jazz pianist Masabumi Kikuchi released this masterpiece in 1981. Directly inspired by the electric period of Miles Davis, this album is one of his children's best, up there with Herbie Hancock's Sextant. Though B2 is a true Milesian explosion, the sound is very different. According to the liner notes, he set up a live PA in the studio and edited the uncut takes, then overdubbed his own keyboards. I'm proud to say that there are Japanese artists who can do this well. The best of Japanese electric jazz funk.
