Massimo Colombo Trio
Alexander
Splasc(h) Records (Italy) 1989
H 177 (LP) w/label catalog.
sleeve : EX(slightly color-faded.)
media : EX/EX(some slightly surface noises.)

Trio album released in 1989 by Massimo Colombo, an Italian jazz pianist who has played with the Attilo Zanchi Quartet. The album includes A1, an ambient jazz piece with ethereal synthesizer pads, and B4, a piece with fine melodies and cosmic sounds reminiscent of Egberto Gismonti, as well as electronic sounds using Oberheim synthesizers and Splasc(h). This is an excellent piece of deep contemporary jazz with the neatness that only Splasc(h) can provide. This label has a lot of good stuff.

A1: da “7 frammenti” Ill Adagio Con Calma
B4: Hop Frog
