This album was released in 1980 by Michiko Akao, a transverse flute player who has been active beyond the classical music since the early 1970s. In addition to her own compositions and arrangements, she performed covers of folk songs and jazz arrangements by pianist Norio Maeda. With Shinobue (bamboo flute), Ryu-bue (dragon flute) and Nohkan (Noh flute) as reeds by Akao, Maeda plays piano and electric piano, with the other musicians like Yasuo Arakawa (b), Tadayuki Harada (b-cn), Hisanaga Larry (per) and Minoru Ishiyama (per). The band plays spiritual ethnic jazz with a touch of Japanese emotion. The ensemble with Koto and Japanese drums is also very impressive.
