This album was released in 1980 by Michiko Akao, a transverse flute player who has been active beyond the classical music since the early 1970s. In addition to her own compositions and arrangements, she performed covers of folk songs and jazz arrangements by jazz pianist Norio Maeda. With Shinobue (bamboo flute), Ryu-fue (dragon flute), and Nohkan (Noh flute) as reeds, the album features Yasuo Arakawa (b), Tadayuki Harada (b-cn), Larry Hisanaga(per), Minoru Ishiyama (per), and others, as well as piano and electric piano on the songs arranged by Norio Maeda. Akao's solo performance on the yokobue flute. Akao's solo performance on the transverse flute and ensemble with Koto and Japanese drums are also very impressive.
