This album was released in 1978 by Mikis Theodorakis, one of Greece's leading composers who has been active for a long time since the 1960s and has released a huge number of works. Featuring Greek female vocalist Margarita Zorbala, the album was composed by Mikis Theodorakis himself and his brother Ioannis Theodorakis, and is based on traditional Greek folklore music called "entechno". Theodorakis Theodorakis and his brother Ioannis Theodorakis compose contemporary songs based on the so-called entechno, or traditional Greek folklore music, with accompaniment by Lakis Karnezis, a famous bouzouki player. The nostalgic melody of the bouzouki and the emotional vocals evoke the peaceful scenery of the Mediterranean.
