This is a 1977 leader album by the Czech-born virtuoso jazz bassist Miroslav Vitous, who later joined Weather Report. While percussionists Don Alias and Armen Halburian contribute, all other performances are by Vitous himself. He handles acoustic/electric bass, piano, electric piano, Mini-moog, and ARP string ensemble, with particularly mind-blowing synthesizer playing. From the aggressively soaring A1 track to the Afro-Brazilian rhythms racing in A2, and the trippy groove of A3 performed solely with percussion and synth, this album showcases cosmic jazz at its finest throughout.
A2: Bassamba
A3: Tiger in the Rain
