An album released in 1966 by the Egyptian female singer Om Kalsoum, who, since her debut in the 1930s, has been one of the most renowned and beloved figures in Arab music, alongside Fairuz. This album features the live recording of "Hajartak," a long song with lyrics by Ahmad Rami and music by Riad Al-Sunbati, considered one of Kalsoum's masterpieces. Although the same song is said to show different expressions on different stages, this is a valuable record where you can experience the true essence of Kalsoum, known for her "tarab" artistry, which leads listeners into a state of ecstasy by subtly changing her phrasing, dynamics, and emotional focus while repeating the same passage. Highly recommended.
