The Spanish jazz quartet Onix, consisting of Josep Albert Cubero (g), Luis Vidal (piano), Ze Eduardo (b), and Jordi Rossy (dr), released their first album on Fresh Sound in 1987. The album is a beautiful contemporary fusion full of positive energy, with a clear, lush electric guitar sound reminiscent of the Pat Metheny Group, and elegant performances throughout. Fresh Sound is a very good label.
