Pat Metheny's masterpiece 1st album from his own group, formed with Lyle Mays, Mark Egan, and Dan Gottlieb after leaving Gary Burton's group, released on ECM in 1978. All tracks are composed by Pat Metheny, or co-composed with Lyle Mays, featuring Pat Metheny's super high-pitched guitar and Lyle Mays' bright piano, supported by Mark Egan's bass and Dan Gottlieb's drums. It's a wonderful sound world where everything blends together in perfect balance. Please revel in the too-beautiful, ascending sound, including A1 and A2, which were also performed on the ultimate live album "Travels," featuring Nana Vasconcelos, who recently passed away.
