This is a masterpiece album released by ECM in 1983, a 2LP collection of live recordings from Pat Metheny Group's performances across the United States. The group, led by the undisputed super guitarist Pat Metheny, featured a formidable lineup including Lyle Mays (keys), Steve Rodby (b), and Dan Gottlieb (dr), who formed the golden age of the Group, with the addition of Nana Vasconcelos (per). It's packed with treasured masterpieces featuring Pat Metheny's guitar synth echoing throughout. The sound quality is excellent, directly conveying the atmosphere of the live venues. The audio was taken to Talent Studio in Oslo, where Jan Erik Kongshaug performed the final mix.
This miraculous music transcends legend itself, a masterpiece for life. Complete Japanese pressing with obi and insert. ECM pressings from Japan at the time were released by both Polydor and Trio, and both have very good sound quality, but I wonder if this Polydor pressing came first.
