This is an album released in 1958 by the renowned American pianist Red Garland, who gained popularity for his participation in the Miles Davis Quintet in the mid to late 1950s and later formed his own group in 1959. Recorded with the trio of Paul Chambers (bass) and Arthur Taylor (drums) in Rudy Van Gelder's studio in the late 1950s, this album features a blend of up-tempo numbers and elegant performances, including standard tunes like A2/A3, famously sung by Nat King Cole, and the beloved B3, which is widely known for Chet Baker's rendition, all imbued with a soulful blues feeling. It's a masterpiece that unfolds delightful performances, with Chambers' bass solos being particularly noteworthy.
A3: Stormy Weather
B3: ’Tis Autumn
