This is the only album released in 1988 by Roberto Avila & Cachoeiras, a little-known Brazilian fusion group from Switzerland, led by guitarist Roberto Avila. The album features lively percussion beats, bright keyboards, and light-hearted vocals/choruses that are reminiscent of Caetano Veloso's compositions, particularly in track A3. The male and female mixed chorus in track B4 exudes a wonderful Brazilian feeling. Throughout the album, you'll find tropical Brazilian crossover sounds that rival those from Brazil itself, making it hard to believe it was produced in the snowy country of Switzerland. Highly recommended.
