Featured in the first edition of the "obscure sound" guidebook. This is the first album by Italian jazz drummer/composer Roberto Gatto, released in 1987, featuring a sextet of famous Italian jazz musicians, including Danilo Rea (keys), Enso Pietropaoli (el-b), Battista Lena (el-g, syn-g), and more. The Guitarist John Scofield's name is also visible. The best track is the organic new age crossover "A4", which is similar to Mark Egan's but with a breezy atmosphere created by expansive drums, mellow bass and wet electric guitar intertwined with beautiful shimmering melancholic synthesizer refrains. The rest of the album, including a song dedicated to Jaco Pastorius, is a sophisticated fusion of beautiful, crystal-clear sounds.
