This is the 1970 album by American saxophonist Robin Kenyatta, who rose to prominence by joining the Bill Dixson Quintet in the 1960s and showcasing his talent early on with contributions to Sonny Stitt's recordings and releasing leader works on ECM. The album features a powerful quartet with Wolfgang Dauner on piano, Arild Andersen on bass, and Fred Braceful on drums. Tracks like the spiritually charged A1/B2 with earthy flute and clarinet dancing wildly, and the B1 with developments reminiscent of Wolfgang Dauner's group Et Cetera's sound in the midsection, showcase an avant-garde inclination while delivering an exceptionally organic and emotionally rich ethno-jazz. This is a second pressing released in the same year as the first press, and the master plates are likely the same.
A1: Girl from Martinique
B1: Thank You Jesus
B2: We'll be so Happy
