This is a leader album released in 1989 by Ronnie Mathews, an American pianist who has participated in numerous sessions with Art Blakey, Clark Terry, Clifford Jordan, etc. since the early 60's. The trio, with Stanford James (b) and Tony Reedus (ds), performs a smooth jazz style covering Duke Ellington's "In a Sentimental Moods" and standard numbers such as "My Funny Valentine" and "Body & Soul," and the entire album is a very relaxing listen. The best of all is Mathews' original song "B1," which is a hot and fiery development of the song.

A2: My Funny Valentine
B1: Selena’s Dance
