This 1990 album by German dulcimer player Rudi Zapf, who has also created outstanding works like the 1987 release Den Bach Hinunter, which focuses on compositions by J.S. Bach, and is a member of Never Been There, known for its New Age masterpieces. In this album, Zapf is joined by harpist Evelyn Huber and double bassist Ingrid Huber-Zapf, forming a trio that performs arrangements of traditional music from Ukraine, China, Rumania, Venezuela, the United Kingdom, Greece, Russia, and Ireland, as well as original compositions by Friedrich Gulda, J.S. Bach, and Zapf. This work beautifully showcases a delicate and refined musical world created through the ensemble of string instruments.
