Singcircle, a vocal ensemble led by composer/conductor/arranger Gregory Rose, released this album the year after their 1983 monstrosity "Mouth Music," which was featured in the guidebook "OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. This work is a realization of "Stimmung," a score for six vocalists composed by German contemporary music giant Karlheinz Stockhausen during his stay in the United States. Composed in the technique of "pure tuning," the overtone component is enhanced by the overlapping of several vocalists' sutra-like voices, and the mysterious spiritual meditative world is even more expansive than the original. The concrete and electronic sounds that appear from time to time are also very effective. It's just wonderful. Highly recommended.
