American saxophonist Sonny Fortune, who worked with Elvin Jones and Mogo Santamaria from the late 60's and participated in such historic recordings as "Get Up with It", "Agharta", and "Pangaea" as a member of Miles Davis in the 70's. He also played with the band in the 70's. This album was released in 1979 by saxophonist Sonny Fortune, featuring Mark Egan (b), Larry Willis (keys), Steve Jordan (ds), and others. This album is a masterpiece of crossover/fusion with an urban flair and a sense of coolness, while incorporating elements of funk and Latin music throughout. Many good tunes.
