A very rare piece has arrived. This is the second album released in 1983 by the New Zealand group Space Case, who left three albums in the early 1980s, featuring Claudio Rodti (tp, per, fh), who has also released works from CTI and Milestone, along with Brian Smith (ts), Kim Paterson (tp), Murray McNabb (p, synth), Bruce Lynch (b), Frank Gibson JNR (ds, per), Ron McClure (b), Andy Brown (b), and others. It showcases very high-level crossover jazz, with groovy jazz-funk on A1, featuring electric piano and horns weaving through a tight rhythm section, a spiritual development from cool funk beats on A3, a drum track opening with primitive jungle sounds on B1, and a cool bass solo playing melodically as if singing on B2. Every track is exceptional.
