This album, released by Prestige in 1957, features a gathering of two trumpeters, Idrees Sulieman and Webster Young, and two tenor saxophonists, John Coltrane and Bobby Jaspar. The rhythm section includes a strong lineup with Kenny Burrell (guitar), Mal Waldron (piano), Paul Chambers (bass), and Art Taylor (drums). Highlights include A2, which starts with an introduction by Burrell on guitar and features solos by each musician, and B2, a long and sultry ballad that unfolds gently. The album showcases a session with consistently stable grooves from these masterful players. This is the first Japanese promo edition, released by Victor in 1977.
A2: Anatomy
B2: Soul Eyes
