The Hilliard Ensemble
Thomas Tallis : The Lamentations of Jeremiah
ECM NEW SERIES (Germany) 1987
ECM 1341 (LP) Promotional copy, White label, w/insert (color-faded on some parts.)
sleeve : VG+(a lot of small and light stains.)
media : EX+/EX+(slightly noises a bit, still good.)

Originally released in 1987 on ECM's classical and contemporary music series “ECM NEW SERIES”, this is an album by The Hilliard Ensemble, a British male chorus quartet, a medieval and renaissance group, with a number of works on ECM, including the world-famous Gregorian chant released in 1993. This is classic Renaissance music, but thanks to ECM's excellent recording and mixing techniques, it has a truly majestic sound.

A1: The Lamentations of Jeremiah : Incipit Lamentatio
B6: Absterge Domine
