This is the first album released on Blue Note in 1958 by The Three Sounds, a trio consisting of Gene Harris (p), Andrew Simpkins (b), and Bill Dowdy (ds), which started in Benton Harbor in 1959 as Four Sounds, was discovered by Lou Donaldson after moving to New York City, and worked with Nat Adderley. A groovy masterpiece with a lot of soul, blues, and R&B elements. This is the Japanese reissue released from Toshiba EMI's <Blue Note LP 1500 Collection> in 1994.
