Released in 1989, this album is a Spanish duo outing by virtuoso guitarist Tito Alcedo—deeply influenced by Django Reinhardt—and pianist Chano Domínguez, renowned for his work with a wide range of Latin music luminaries including Paquito D’Rivera and Chucho Valdés. Across the entire record, they unfold a uniquely Spanish take on crossover jazz: breezy, lyrical, and full of atmosphere, seamlessly blending the refreshing clarity and sense of flight reminiscent of the Pat Metheny Group during the Pedro Aznar era with flavors of flamenco and gypsy swing. A true “hidden gem” of the genre. The three tracks on the A-side are particularly outstanding. Highly recommended.
