Tony Dagradi is a multi-talented jazz musician who plays soprano/tenor saxophone, flute, clarinet, and piano. The quintet includes Dave Torkanowsky (keys), Jim Singleton (b), John Vidacovich (dr), and Mark Sanders (per). The tropical rhythms of Brazilian percussion and the organic floating feeling reminiscent of Pharoah Sanders' classic album "Thembi" are fused in A1, and the energetic Latin beat and thrilling development of the song is reminiscent of Herbie Hancock's funk period. Dave Torkanowsky's use of synths is cool on B1, and contemporary fusion with a wide range of styles from moody modal jazz to crossover, but with a consistent coolness.
