This is an album introduced in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. It is a masterpiece released in 1984 by the group Uakti, led by Marco Antonio Guimarães, who studied under the master of Brazilian avant-garde music, Walter Smetak. The group skillfully plays original instruments, and almost all the tracks are composed by Guimarães. The album is filled with unique avant-garde contemporary music that blends ethnic sentiments with the essence of modern music, featuring a kind of minimalism that is similar yet distinct from Steve Reich and Terry Riley. You won't hear much music like this elsewhere. Additionally, the album has an unbelievably high sound quality for a Brazilian release. Highly recommended.
