Urszula Dudziak & Walk Away
Magic Lady
Muza Polskie Nagrania (Poland) 1989
SX 2829 (LP) Insert
sleeve : VG+(RW, some scuffing on side/corners)
media : EX-/EX-(slight surface noise due to light scratches/some light crackling)
This is a live recording album from 1989 in Warsaw by Polish tricky jazz singer/percussionist Urszula Dudziak, who has collaborated with numerous artists since the early 1970s, making use of her distinctive vocal techniques, and has also released many solo albums and collaborations with her husband Michal Urbaniak. It's a fulfilling album, featuring A1, where she delivers amazing Brazilian scat on a speedy samba rhythm, and B1, a super cool crossover jazz track with intertwining vibes and synth, and a unison of saxophone and scat, as well as Urszula's signature incredible scat solos. This must have been quite exhilarating to hear live.
A1: Samba Ula
B1: Theme from the Motion Picture
