V.A. “Digital Explosion ’83”

This charity album was produced as a souvenir of the 32nd All Japan Audio Fair held by the Japan Audio Society in 1983. Field recordings from around Japan. Noteworthy is B2, a groovy cover of Happy End's famous song "Hourou" by the session musicians who were summoned for this project, including Akira Inoue (keys), Hideo Yamaki of Mariah (ds), Takashi Takamizu (b), Tsuyoshi Kon (g), Motoya Hamaguchi (perc), Toshiyuki Honda (s), and Shigeharu Mukai (tb). The 32-channel stereo multi-recording, the latest technology at the time, was done at Toshiba's studio.
