This is the third volume of a collection of Korean classical folk songs released by Daae Do Records in 1974. Performed by the Dae Do Traditional Music Ensemble as in the previous album, the singers are Lee Eunjoo, a master of Gyeonggi folk songs from Seoul and the Gyeonggi region, and Ji Hwaja and Ko Baekhwa, representative singers of Gangwon-do folk songs. All of the albums in the series are excellent, with excellent performances of traditional Korean folk songs from the 1910s to the 1940s, but this album also contains very aggressive and avant-garde songs that completely overturn our stereotypical notions of classical music. Japanese folk songs and classical music also have a passionate side, but Korean music, which is one of the roots of Japanese culture, shows a different kind of emotion and emotional expression.
