Transformation of Piano
Denon (Japan) 1980
sleeve : VG+(light spots.)
media : EX+/EX+(some slightly surface noises, still good condition.)
This album was originally released in 1970 and features piano works by leading contemporary postwar Japanese composers such as Toshiro Mayuzumi, Yuji Takahashi, Joji Yuasa, Shinichi Matsushita, and Toshi Ichiyanagi. This is a reissue released in 1980 from Denon's "Contemporary Japanese Music 1500" series. Piano performance is by Yuji Takahashi and Aki Takahashi. The rhythmic melody of A1 by Toshiro Mayuzumi that hits the prepared piano like percussion is a real treat for the ears, and the score B2 by Toshi Ichiyanagi, which combines the prepared piano technique with oscillator modulation and sound image shifting effects based on Yuji Takahashi's original interpretation, is very powerful. If you like electronic music, this is also a must.
A1: Toshiro Mayuzumi “Pieces for Prepared Piano and String”
B3: Toshi Ichiyanagi “Music for Piano”
