Walkin’
Denon (Japan) 1987
YX-7430-ND (LP) w/insert.
sleeve : EX-(SRW, DJS, SOC, color-faded on side.)
media : EX+/EX+(some slightly surface noises, still good.)
The only album released in 1987 by Walkin', a quartet featuring keyboardist Toshiyuki Otoku (who has played on Snapdragon and other solo albums as well as supporting many other artists, along with Shigeo Hirayama (ds), Masatoshi Mizuno (b) and Kunihiro Tsuji (g). At a time when many Japanese groups, such as The Square and Casiopea, were turning to technical fusion, the group's songs are just as good as their progressive rock counterparts. But it's the breezy fusion, with its mid to late 80's sound quality and urban atmosphere, that is the real highlight.
