Born in Paris, France, to Algerian and Lebanese parents, Warda, the renowned singer who has been a prominent figure in the world of Arab music alongside Fairuz, released this album in 1984. The album features majestic compositions by Egyptian composer Mahmoud Al Sherif, known for his film music such as 'Leilet el-Eid' (1949) and 'Shatie el Asrar' (1958). The lyrics are penned by the poet Samir Al Tayer, who has been active since the 1970s, contributing to many notable works. Opening with the traditional melodies of Egypt, characterized by the rhythmic beats of the darbuka and the enchanting sounds of strings, the album introduces a belly dance-like atmosphere. Warda's husky and mysterious vocals add a captivating touch, guiding listeners into a seductive world. The music also incorporates the tones of psychedelic electronic organ, reminiscent of the sound of a Farfisa.
