This was featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. First album released in 1982 by Yaki Kandru, a group formed by Jorge Lopez Palacio, a Colombian musician who is also an anthropologist. The album contains 8 songs, mainly traditional songs from Latin America, Alaska, Mexico, Patagonia, and other indigenous tribes, as well as original tracks by the group, and is very experimentally oriented, using wood flute and other unidentified percussion groups. The sound is dizzying, magical, and yet 100% organic, surpassing the work of Jorge Reyes (Mexico) and Alvin Curran (France). The sound quality, which is a bit dusty but still fresh, is excellent, and the sensation of being swallowed up in a sound field with a mysterious atmosphere is just too much. All songs are amazing.
