This album was released in 1988 by Yoichiro Yoshikawa, a composer and filmmaker who has been active in the avant-garde butoh group Sankai Juku since he was a university student, and later as a member of Yapoos. The theme of the album is Cyprus, an isolated island in the Mediterranean Sea, and the music is exotic new age electronics using various ethnic instruments and synthesizers. Although the method of expression is quite different, it has an exotic feel similar to Haruomi Hosono's "Paradise View" or Jon Hassell's series of works.
